Recently I’ve had some time off of work and decided that I wanted to learn a little more about how to use Photoshop. I already have some of the basic working knowledge of how to manipulate/enhance/correct/etc. photos and images, so I wanted to go a little more in depth with it. And when it comes to cultivating any creative aspects of my life, I usually like to learn things hands on. I like to try then fail. Then learn from it. Repeat ad infinitum.
So I actually decided to work on a few old sketches of mine which I posted up here for your “viewing pleasure”. These really have nothing to do with what I’ve learned over the last week or so, as they utilize some of the most basic features of photoshop, but nonetheless, I quickly retouched on some these to quickly bring to life some of the projects I had sitting around. For the following designs, I was in a simple “fade to black” sort of mood at the time. I unfortunately don’t allocate much time to drawing nowadays, so keep your expectations in check – but I always do appreciate feedback nonetheless.
“ACoops” – Simply just an old sketch of my name.
“Spacer” – An old tribute to an old friend. Find me on the 112 at 1:12…
This photo contains an older “A” (my first initial) logo on the model. Liked how the pink popped. Maybe still a little too dark though.
“ACooper” – An old signature, in more of a quick tag style which I found in the archives lying around.
Another simple “AC” logo which I made a while back.
“Mattucci” – This was made for an old high school friend, 10 years late. She had asked me way back to make her a graffity inspired rendition of her name, and I pulled an asshole move on her by forgetting about her request and never actually made it. So I sent this to her for her birthday this year. The backdrop correlates to her aspirations she has to one day make her living in New York City.
Thank you for connecting,
